Revision

The only way to guarantee that a translation is perfectly accurate and does not damage your image is revision. Choose the type you need.

Yellow Hub has provided translations for more than 40 years, and for at least 20 years, it has handled manual translation and translation assistance tools, machine translation, and artificial intelligence on a daily basis, inspecting the results of every project with respect to quality.

It is important to recognize the use of a translated text because this makes it possible to determine which type of revision to use.

In fact, there is a great difference between purely technical content, where the terminology is important, and legal content, where the sense must be understood while using proper legal phrasing; medical content destined for patients, which requires a good eight revision steps (linguistic validation), and scientific texts destined for publication.

And these are all different from a message designed to create an impact on a certain type of end consumer (transcreation).

Optimization

With optimization, Yellow Hub ensures that such guidelines or preferences are constantly respected.

Pure Revision

pura-revisione

This involves the grammatical revision of a text created by the client and available only in the target language, plus QA and spellchecking by an editor.

Proofreading

proof-reading

In this case, an editor revises a bilingual document completely, verifying the text to identify and guarantee the spelling, terminology, consistency, and numbers (QA + spellcheck). If desired and permitted by the revision tool, errors can be classified, providing suggestions for improvement (LQA), and a term base can be created while inserting terminological changes suggested by the customer.

Error Detection

yellow-hub-formazione-linguistica

Our decades-long experience has taught us that when handling sustainability reports for large companies, slogans inserted in promotional items, or handbills for a small company, errors can always hide around the corner, even a number without a decimal point or a typo.

In fact, translators tend to concentrate on the meaning of the text, understanding a word with the mind and not reading it as it is written. To avoid errors, we use automatic tools to make a final check, but these are still subject to error in some languages.

This is why a generous revision and editing service is useful for detecting errors. Our collaborators are well trained in hunting down errors, finding and pinning down grammatical and punctuation errors and correcting them, even in texts not created by our team.

It is important to anticipate the time needed for this task so the editors can look as well as understand.

In-Country Review

in-country-review

This involves the adaptation of a translated text to local differences in the same language (for example, adapting content in British English to American English, or from European Portuguese to Brazilian Portuguese).

If done directly for the target country, it is an effective form of internationalization.

Sector Review by an SME

caccia-all-errore

The spread of the Internet and generative AI has led to the use of generalist communication, at least for the moment.

We suggest subjecting the multilingual content of your most delicate, specialized texts in a given sector — marketing, legal, financial, medical, scientific — to the approval of a subject matter expert (SME), a professional whose educational background, years of experience, and research have led to extensive expertise in the sector. The SME will assess and adapt both the content — subject matter — and language of the text and offer an opinion.

SMEs have often gained their expertise through years of experience and training in their field.
