Audio and Video Localization

Texts inserted in corporate videos, product presentations, or training in the use and maintenance of machinery.

Here are some examples of localization in this sector:

Subtitling

We use video captions to present the written transcription of a dialogue in one or more languages.

Subtitling is the most common, quick, and cost-effective alternative to dubbing, allowing viewers to follow and understand what is happening on screen.

In subtitling, the original audio track is maintained, but it is translated and printed in the viewer’s language at the bottom of the screen. With subtitles, the viewer must be able to hear the music, background noise, and see unspoken content.

Dubbing

With dubbing, we translate clips of dialogue present in a film into one or more languages, adapting the translations visually, synchronizing them with the movement of the lips, and mixing them with the original.

The original audio is replaced by a recording that is then combined with the soundtrack, while background noise is maintained.

Captioning

This is designed to help people with vision or hearing problems. It is different from subtitling, which is instead directed at people who can see and hear but do not understand the spoken language.

With captioning, people who do not see or hear well can therefore understand when there is a noise, or a poster with some meaning has been framed, and can therefore follow the film more completely.
